Leaders In Transition

Dear Kathy,

Thank you for your generous "pay it forward" approach to helping others through your coordination and hosting of the curated Executive Opportunities Forum (EOF).

For me, EOF served as a necessary support network when I first found myself in transition professionally. Having never been in that situation, I found the camaraderie of EOF members both empathetic and refreshing. Everyone was there to find their next opportunity and learn how best to do so. Members shared opportunities and helped with introductions. There were no egos, just smart and accomplished business leaders from all functional areas willing to help and be helped. In time, I "landed" and stayed involved with EOF because I made good friends along the way. I found I was still able to share my network and ideas to help others as they flowed in and out of our bi-weekly meetings and the smaller, more intimate "triad" meetings. In addition to the personal relationships, I imagine many business relationships were born out of EOF because people do business with people they like and trust.

I have great appreciation for the EOF. The Tuesday meetings were inspiring, informative and uplifting. Kathy, thank you for your positive energy, the wise advisors, and great speakers. The Triads were so helpful as well – great opportunity to compare strategies and tips with each other in a smaller setting. You have brought together a wonderful network of professionals, and I look forward to staying in touch with my EOF friends.

First, I want to thank you for inviting me to the group and for all your help in facilitating the group, introducing me to new people, and offering your time and thoughtful feedback. The group has been a real blessing to me. It really helped me to hone my story, build my confidence, and focus my search as well as get to know some great people in the process.

I particularly appreciate the deep dives you did with me, especially the last one on negotiation, which helped me to negotiate an offer I feel good about. The EOF was a constant source of encouragement and support to me.

I appreciate the candid advice and recommendations for improvements of how to better describe the value that I can bring to the situations that I have a passion for. I appreciate the time you spent with me prepping for the Deep Dive experience and the additional time you spent after the meeting to debrief and expand upon the feedback from the meeting.

I am so grateful to you and all of the EOF members who have been such an inspiration and so supportive in my career search efforts. I feel so honored to have been included in that distinguished group, and so fortunate to have gleaned so many great learnings that I have been able to apply in my search efforts. I believe I am much better able to articulate my personal brand and value proposition, which proved helpful in the opportunities and ultimate position I was able to land.

I am so grateful to you for your support over the past year. The EOF was truly a lifeline for me. You have really assembled a great team of executive leaders, and I have been very blessed to be a part of it! Thanks Kathy! 

I want to thank you for your great group. EOF has a very fine group of people who for some have been great connections I plan to keep for years to come. I will remain very happy to help members with connections or in other ways. I look forward to when we connect in person again at EOF or FEI.

The Executives Opportunities Forum (EOF) has been an invaluable source of connection, perspective, and camaraderie with other executives during my career transition. This valuable community provided trusted relationships, support, and insights I needed to navigate at a pivotal time. The friendships and support network I've developed through this group are now an embedded part of my career moving forward.
